Running categories (male and female): 1st, 2nd, 3rd. Walking category (open): 1st, 2nd, 3rd. No cut off times for this distance. Minimum age is 14 on event day. No forms of wheeled conveyance permitted in any event. No headphones/earbuds with music playing. No pets during your participation.
Kick off your Takutai 10km adventure at the Ōhope Wharf car park! Athletes will zoom onto the main road (Harbour Road) and make a beeline for the Ōhope Golf Course.
After hitting the dead turn, it’s time to retrace those speedy steps!
Back at the Wharf, you’ll leap onto the Harbour side trail like a pro!
Then, it’s off to Waterways Drive to hop onto Harbour Road, heading towards the Otao Playground, where you’ll dash over the grass back to the Wharf. The 10km route is as smooth as butter—perfect for those looking to smash their personal best!
Get ready to hit the pavement at the Sun to Surf 10km Run & Walk, where around 70% of your adventure is on the road, with delightful little dashes of grass and trails thrown in for that extra splash of fun!
